I've been settling into some bad habits lately. Staying up WAY past by target bedtime of 11:00 pm, missing gym classes and instead doing what I feel to be half-hearted cardio work, letting my allergies get way out of control to the point that I don't feel so well, saving annoying pieces of work for later and then completing them at unreasonable hours and allowing a tornado of epic proportions to tear through the house to name a few (don't get me wrong part of the tornado was a basket of three clean loads of laudry to be folded and several shirts, swimsuits and bras that I had handwashed and were lying flat on towels in the living room and office to dry). Last night I got home close to bed time from another enlightening book club and came face to face with the mess that this week (or maybe last two weeks) had become. I was feeling the allergies, tired and really really just wanted to go to bed. So I sent my email for work (see above) and started getting ready for bed accepting the fact that I had a huge task ahead of me in the morning. Imagine my surprise when I woke up and exited the bedroom this morning to find half of the mess in the living room picked up and the picture above in the kitchen (Note: our dishwasher is manual). What a great way to start the day. I know I'm running the risk of a cliche blog post - but my husband is really swell.
