Snow shoes.

I had a really great pair of Kenneth Cole boots that I bought at Century 21 right after we moved to NY. I wore them all the time because they had a heel (wedged) AND were super comfortable to walk in. I walked in them so much that they were well past their prime by the time this winter rolled around and I knew I had to let them go. So in a symbolic gesture, I took them to the trash chute the day we left NY and tossed them in. Given my other choices of footwear (4 pair of heels, black suede knee high boots, beloved Nikes with radiused crash pad) and my time in Utah so far feeling more like vacation and less like real life, I've been wearing my awesome Merrell snow boots that J bought me for my birthday. They are warm and cute and I love the snowflake tread. Just when I start to feel like I need to get a new pair of stylish and comfortable boots, Mother Nature bails me out. The pictures below are of Main Street (my pre-NYC street) after about 8" of snow fell last night. I guess the snow boots will continue their 17 day streak.

Love the boots. Love the snow. Happy you threw the old ones down the trash shoot. :)
